Ffmpeg linux4/6/2023 The repository contains a *deb file for easy installation trial. This is an FFmpeg implementation for sunxi devices based on great work by jemk & alcantor (i.e cedrus ). Download source code from the FFmpeg git repository, follow the official compilaition wiki, get past error messages and try out some new features. ![]() The following is only working with 3.4 kernel and in A10/A10s/A13/A20 SOCs. FFmpeg supports nearly all audio/video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9, AAC, OPUS, and more), file formats (MP4, FLV, MKV, TS, WEBM, MP3, etc. Moreover because the vendor's kernel doesn't have any future, the little time available by the people working in the Cedrus project is concentrated in pushing the mainlineable driver forward, meaning any work in the encoding side will always be second priority.Īnyone that wishes to work in improving the use of h264 encoding with the vendor's kernel, is very welcome to join Cedrus project, we will be very glad to help make this possible. ffmpeg version 3.4.6-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2019 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 7 (Ubuntu 7.3.0-16ubuntu3) configuration: -prefix/usr -extra-version0ubuntu0.18.04. FFmpeg operates as a command-line application, so it can be fully incorporated into automated processes. It is most typically used on Linux or macOS platforms. Per this reason this implementation doesn't represent the actual state of knowledge about the workings of h264 encoding in the hardware. FFmpeg can be downloaded as an official version or through Linux packages, but it can also be compiled directly from the source code. This ffmpeg fork is without an active maintainer and its hardware h264 encoding implemention is based from an older version of the proof of concept source-code.
